confortably numb

Al incorporarse ya era de noche. Había pasado mucho rato en el sillón y ya la funda había vagado por todos los rincones de la habitación. La noche anterior había llorado como un niño y no pegó un ojo. Cuando amaneció caminó desnudo por su casa vacía, hizo un amago para cortarse las puntas del pelo, se duchó, se afeitó, y se acicaló como parte de un rito cuyo propósito final le era desconocido aun. Salió mojado del baño y caminó un poco más por la casa. Afuera el día era glorioso, no había ni frio ni calor y la luz se infiltraba por todas las grietas de su casa. De pie frente a la ventana pensó en salir a jugar con los niños del barrio, en romperse el brazo en un tobogán y volver llorando a los brazos maternos, pero se detuvo por la sobriedad de su imagen desnuda reflejada en un camión de Fedex.
