Dali kissed Andy Warhol. That's right, they kissed on a sunny afternoon inside Warhol's studio.
"This is a Happening", said Dali right after. He had gone to New York looking for directions and found Warhol's work all over the floor. A thousand pictures of Marilyn Monroe were enough to make him forget about Dala and ecounter his own mortality. "Geniuses should not be allowed to die" said Warhol seeing this.
After that Warhol would never mass produce his "Marilyns" again and Dali would go back to Madrid to work on jewelry. They probably never saw each other again, and they both died very faraway. But, without a doubt, something very important happened in the world of arts when, for a few seconds, surrealism became pop, and vice versa.
